Josh was born on a working beef farm so early on started gaining skills in construction, animal husbandry, land husbandry, tractor and heavy plant operations, fencing, grass cutting, hedge cutting etc .

He has also gained experience in building residential homes as well as agricultural construction including installing new drives and tracks , building polytunnels and creating vegetable gardens , animal shelters , shed and barns. He ran his own tree work and landscaping business for over a decade at one point employing 12 members of staff. This gave Josh an insight into staff management and mentoring , carrying out dynamic risk assessments in a dangerous industry, Tree felling, grass cutting, hedge cutting, tree climbing, wood chipper operations and other land based skills .

He then went on to purchase 8 acres of land where he built a 120m2 temporary rural workers dwelling , built a glamping business which now has 3 cabins and a double decker bus all of which he converted or built himself. 

Josh then assisted his wife Natalie with her building of a 100m2 yoga and meditation studio on site.

Most recently Josh and Natalie have applied for planning permission to build their family home. A 160m2 straw bale house which they have just been granted approval for by the local authority to begin in Spring 2024. You can watch their progress on their YouTube channel
